Role Summary:

The Bently Pricing Manager will work cross-functionally with the Bently organization to develop global pricing strategies, guidelines and implementation initiatives with a fact based, analytical approach utilizing competitive analysis, market attractiveness, product positioning and overall business strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with product management, marketing, finance and key business leaders to maximize the profitability of the business.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Pricing Manager, Bently, you will:

  • Serve as a pricing expert to the Bently business and enable effective pricing strategies by working closely with the product management and marketing teams to understand customer segmentation, competitive position and target value propositions

  • Lead, develop or revise pricing strategies based on an understanding of customer and product line profitability

  • Collaborate with the Sales team to support the long term agreement process for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) by conducting strategic price analysis

  • Make price recommendations

  • Work with product management to implement value based pricing approach to support New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Implement continuous improvements to price reporting capabilities that support global and operational price metrics

  • Proactively communicate price performance metrics and insights to key internal functions, developing recommendations, as appropriate

  • Create and maintain pricing dashboards to measure performance vs. internal targets and external benchmarks

  • Lead / manage the process of collecting and analyzing market pricing information, including win / loss data and competitor pricing intelligence

  • Partner with business unit marketing and product management on deciphering how competitive intelligence insights relate to pricing and recommend changes in pricing targets

  • Develop product line / regional price forecasts to support Growth Playbook, S2 and Op Plan activities

  • Work with cross-functional teams to lead the development or enhance critical pricing infrastructure, such as Big Machines, Measurement & Control (M&C) Price DOA, SAP and ecommerce tools that support commercial initiatives

  • Serve as the SAP pricing expert for the Bently Nevada Product Line and enable effective price execution by working closely with the global and field sales and customer care teams to resolve pricing issues, make price adjustments, and develop new pricing, as required

  • Refine existing SAP pricing conditions so that they are aligned to market, customer and product attributes as well as the Price Delegation of Authority process by using transactional and other market data

  • Manage day to day activities of pricing analyst and work with M&C Pricing Operations team to support & improve tactical pricing processes Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum 5 years commercial, finance and/or engineering for quantifiable experience areas Desired Characteristics:

  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Marketing or Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited college or university

  • Self-starter and able to work with limited supervision

  • Demonstrated leadership skills by leading direct or cross-functional teams through complex projects

  • Proven data analysis experience and a solid grasp of pricing models & techniques

  • Commercial mindset and ability to work effectively with product management, sales and marketing organizations

  • Solid change management skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; integrative team working style;

  • Ability to quickly establish a vision, and the tenacity to drive them through to completion with minimal supervision

  • SAP experience, especially around pricing conditions and procedures

  • Proven problem solving skills and data analysis experience utilizing Tableau, Excel, BO, JMP or other analytical tools.

  • Professional Pricing Society (CPP Certification)
